Cut From a Different Cloth

UK-based producer Woodcut Media has linked up with Idris Elba’s production outfit Green Door Pictures on a one-off doc about a fashion brand’s attempts to crack global markets.

Cut From A Different Cloth (1×60’) follows Superdry co-founders Julian Dunkerton and James Holder as they team up with Elba to launch their first premium fashion line.

The show is being exec produced by Derren Lawford from Woodcut Media and Nicholas Yearwood from Green Door Pictures, with the two prodcos co-financing.

UK-based Content Media will distribute the doc internationally.

Yearwood said the show “presents a side of Idris never seen on television before, that of designer and entrepreneur. Green Door is also happy to once again be collaborating with Woodcut on another ground-breaking documentary.”
