Woodcut, DRG, TDP in non-scripted pact

UK indie Woodcut Media has teamed up with distributor DRG and The Development Partnership (TDP) to exclusively develop and produce non-scripted programming.

Woodcut will work with TDP on a range of talent-led non-scripted content, leveraging DRG’s expertise in the international market.

Woodcut, under CEO Kate Beal, and TDP are currently in pre-production on a so-far undisclosed talent-led series having previously partnered on History’s Football: A Brief History by Alfie Allen.

TDP is part of UK-based talent and literary agency The Artists Partnership and last month unveiled its plans to be an environment and platform for talent across all disciplines to help develop and produce television passion projects.

Run by Robert Taylor, TDP is a development company that aims to provide an environment for talent to have a voice in the development and production of projects they are passionate about.

Richard Halliwell, CEO of Nordic Entertainment Group-owned DRG, said the tri-partite relationship would put his firm “at the centre of content creation,” ensuring his team can use its expertise effectively, giving input on creative aspects that will help maximise international revenue.

“DRG’s involvement and investment will take this partnership to the next level and support our joint ambitions for rapidly growing an impactful and diverse slate of content,” Halliwell added.
