Wildside preps Hepburn drama

Wildside drama The Young Pope

The Italian production company behind The Young Pope and My Brilliant Friend is developing a drama series based on the life of Audrey Hepburn.

Fremantle-owned Wildside is developing the series from a story by the Hollywood star’s son Luca Dotti and Luigi Spinola.

Dotti and Spinola’s New York Times bestseller Audrey At Home explores Hepburn’s life as a mother and humanitarian.

In developing the new series, Dotti will contribute historical research into his mother’s formative years. Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Mieli’s Wildside will start production on the series in 2020.
