Wild Bunch tunes into RubyRock anthology

MIPCOM: Fledgling UK prodco RubyRock Pictures has partnered with Wild Bunch TV on its forthcoming feminist horror anthology Her Horror.

Created by Zara Symes, Her Horror examines the varied spectrum of the female experience through horror, allowing emerging female talent to reclaim the genre.

Each episode will draw on different subjects, from puberty and childbearing to the menopause and ageing, and highlight themes such as the feminine identity, the fear of the unknown and the terror of not being in control of one’s own body.

Paris-based producer and distributor Wild Bunch TV will co-develop and finance Her Horror with RubyRock, which is also coproducing the series with Clipper Media Capital.

RubyRock launched this month and is helmed by Zoë Rocha, the former MD of UK film production and finance firm The Fyzz Facility TV.

It is also developing projects including The Heartless, written by Lucie Barât (Spotless) and executive produced by her brother Carl Barât, co-frontman of band The Libertines.
