Wheelhouse picks president

Brent Montgomery’s US multimedia outfit Wheelhouse Group, which counts talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel among its partners, has named its first president.

Rob Lia

Rob Lia will oversee and manage all business operations, planning and investments across all subsidiaries of the group, including its marketing and brand initiatives and its events division.

Lia has been selected as president after running the family office of former ITV America CEO Montgomery, who established Wheelhouse last year, since 2015.

Before that, Lia worked as an attorney and was a partner at law firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner. As well as spending time at several other law firms, he has worked as a CPA for KPMG and Ernst & Young.

Lia will be based in the New York and Stamford offices of Wheelhouse, which Montgomery established “to create and harness business and content opportunities across multiple industries and platforms.”

Its content division encompasses production label Spoke Studios as well as media company Kimmelot, launched with Kimmel. It has a marketing and branding arm called Wheelhouse Labs, while its investment division supports creators, companies and talent in accelerating their ventures.
