WGBH Boston takes on The Blob

The Blob: A Genius Without a Brain was produced for Arte France

US public broadcaster WGBH Boston has pre-bought factual series The Blob: A Genius Without a Brain from France’s Arte Distribution.

Produced in 4k by Hauteville Productions and Arte France for the latter’s science slot, the show blends science fiction, animation, nature and cutting-edge science to explore a surprising organism known as the blob, or more commonly named slime mould.

WGBH Boston has pre-bought the show for its science series Nova, which airs on its own broadcasting network and on pubcaster PBS. The show has already been sold to broadcasters including the BBC in the UK, NHK in Japan and Sweden’s SVT.
