WE tv’s Vogel moves to Lifetime

US pay channel Lifetime has appointed development executive Nicole Vogel from rival cablenet WE tv as VP of programming and development.

Vogel was most recently director of development at AMC-owned WE tv, where she developed and exec produced series including Love After Lockup and Extreme Love.

Prior to this, Vogel served as senior director of development at US prodco Optomen Productions, where she worked on series and specials for Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, MTV, Destination America and Investigation Discovery.

Vogel was also previously manager of talent development and casting for Discovery Networks, after beginning her career at boutique talent representation firm Headline Media Management.

At A+E-owned Lifetime, she will report to Brie Miranda Bryant, senior VP of programming and development.
