WE tv lines up Lockup spin-off

AMC-owned US cablenet WE tv is preparing a spin-off from its reality show Love After Lockup.

Premiering in June, Love After Lockup: Life After Lockup (8×60′) will build on the stories from seasons one and two of Love After Lockup, which saw couples attempting relationships after one partner’s release from prison.

The spin-off will follow five couples from the original series as they build their post-incarceration relationships and lives. The former inmates will face new challenges, from raising children and buying first homes to finding work and staying sober.

“There was an outpouring of interest from fans who were eager to keep following these unforgettable couples, making it an easy decision to expand this burgeoning franchise with an all-new series,” said Marc Juris, president of WE tv.

Love After Lockup: Life After Lockup is produced by Sharp Entertainment, with Matt Sharp, Dan Adler, Alan Madison and Sophie Mallam exec producing.
