The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, continues WBTVG’s relationship with Harris-Lawrence, who was executive producer and showrunner on the studio’s drama David Makes Man for OWN and executive producer and co-showrunner of CBS drama All Rise.

It marks WBTVG’s first overall pact with Harris-Lawrence and her first with any studio.

Harris-Lawrence will continue on All Rise and David Makes Man, both of which are in production on their second seasons, and will also develop, create and produce new scripted programming for the studio.

This includes dramas, comedies and potential longform projects for streaming services, including WarnerMedia’s HBO Max, and cable, as well as broadcast networks.

Prior to joining All Rise and David Makes Man, Harris-Lawrence was co-executive producer and writer on Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & the Notorious B.I.G., Shots Fired and Star.

Before that, she served in the same capacity on series such as Zoo, Detroit 1-8-7 and Saving Grace. Her other writing credits include Any Day Now, Kevin Hill and New York Undercover.

She is represented by Rain Management Group and Gordon M Bobb at Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein & Lezcano.

The news comes after WBTVG signed an overall deal with Cord Jefferson, executive story editor and writer for HBO limited series Watchmen this month.
