500 Questions is a primetime ABC entertainment format from Darnell, who joined Warner Bros as president of its unscripted and alternative television division in 2013 after leaving Fox.

The preview event will take place on Monday April 13 with Survivor creator Burnett and Darnell in Cannes, presented by CNN’s Richard Quest, who hosts 500 Questions in the forthcoming ABC version.

The show will be produced by Burnett’s United Artists Media Group in association with Warner Horizon Television (The Voice, The Bachelor).

Contestants compete to answer 500 difficult general knowledge questions and cannot advance if they get three wrong in a row.

“This is a show unlike any seen in years: original in structure, immediately accessible in game play and epic in suspense, with big characters competing against the clock. The entire show is staged within an incredible-looking and high-concept studio setting.”

Burnett and Phil Parsons are executive producers of the series. 500 Questions is distributed globally by Warner Bros Worldwide Television Distribution, with format sales handled by WBITVP.
