Warner Bros adapts The Four for Spain

US network Fox’s The Four: Battle for Stardom

The Spanish arm of Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) has picked up the rights to hit singing competition format The Four from Israel’s Armoza Formats.

WBITVP Spain will develop a local version of the show, which turns the concept of the singing competition on its head. The Four introduces the audience to the finalists in the first episode and then challenges them to keep their places ahead of talented candidates looking to steal their spot.

The format has been picked up in a number of countries in the last few months, including Portugal, India, Lithuania and Greece.

The US version, The Four: Battle for Stardom, has been a ratings hit and aired for a second season last year.
