Walter Presents takes two French thrillers

Six-part thriller Mother is Wrong

Channel 4-owned VoD service Walter Presents has picked up a pair of French thrillers from France TV Distribution in a multi-territory deal.

Produced by Paris-based Scarlett Productions, Crimson Wedding centres on a family wedding that turns into a tragedy. Created by Bruno Dega and Jeanne Le Guillou, the series stars Alexia Barlier, Cristiana Réali and Lannick Gautry.

Mother is Wrong is a psychological thriller that revolves around a three-year-old boy who is convinced the woman claiming to be his mother is an impostor. A child psychologist believes the child is telling the truth but has trouble persuading the police to investigate. The series is coproduced by MFP, France Télévisions, Pictanovo Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Région Hauts-de-France.

Both six-part series have been acquired for Walter Presents in the UK, the US, Italy and Australia. The VoD service specialises in non-English language drama.
