Wag herds wildlife to Cannes

Channel 5 in the UK, France 5 and European pay net Viasat World have pre-bought a wildlife series from London-based distributor Wag Entertainment ahead of its launch at MipTV in April.

Secret Life of Puffins will be launched by the distribution arm of the London-based prodco in Cannes.

The 3×60’ or 6×30 project, produced by UK indie Artists in Motion, was filmed over several months off the coast of Scotland and reveals a previously unknown side to the iconic birds.

Wag also has Artists in Motion’s My Secret Big Cat Sanctuary (2×60’) on its slate. The observational doc series takes viewers inside a big cat sanctuary in the UK.

Wag is also taking Dolphins & Me (1×60’), a Dream Co Ltd production, to MipTV. From award-winning director Jungjun Lee and filmed in the seas of South-East Asia, this heart-felt film tells the story of seven performing ‘show’ dolphins once held in captivity and examines how successfully they have adapted to life in the wild.
