Vuulr picks up 50-plus Televisa titles

Singapore-based online content marketplace Vuulr has added more than 50 titles from Mexican broadcaster Televisa to its catalogue.

The deal brings drama series including The Usurper, Cradle of Wolves, Rubi, The Dragon, Single Dad, MD: Life on the Line, No Fear of Truth and The Rose of Guadalupe to Vuulr’s line-up.

Natasha Malhotra, chief content and commercial officer at Vuulr, said: “This deal with Televisa marks the start of a fruitful partnership with one of Latin America’s largest media companies as we continue our mission to transform the distribution and licensing of content in the film and TV ecosystem.”

Vuulr launched in January 2020 and allows buyers and distributors to connect and trade content. It features film and TV content from producers and distributors including Legendary, Sony, Picture Tree International, Kartemquin, Warner Media, SPI International and Toonz Media Group.

Buyers registered on Vuulr include the Walt Disney Company, Viacom International Media Networks, Turner International Asia Pacific, Super RTL, Mediacorp, Public Media Co VN, Astro and MX Player.
