Vizio TVs to offer Insight

Netherlands-based ultra-HD broadcaster Insight TV has struck a carriage deal with US smart TV manufacturer Vizio.

The partnership means Insight TV will be added to the line-up of channels available on Vizio’s SmartCast TV operating system.

Insight TV’s suite of digital channels, including action-focused inTrouble and science and technology outlet inWonder, will also feature on the SmartCast TVs.

More than 13 million TV sets in US households use the SmartCast operating system.

Mark Romano, VP of the Americas at Insight TV, said: “With Vizio seeing a huge increase in viewing sessions for its streaming TV services in the past few weeks, it is particularly fortuitous timing that Insight TV’s channels have been added to the platform.

“Now, our vibrant and exciting original programming is discoverable by millions of SmartCast users.”
