Viva Plus falls for CJ ENM romance

When My Love Blooms’ jumps between the present and the characters’ college days

Israeli broadcaster Viva Plus has picked up romantic drama series When My Love Blooms from South Korea’s CJ ENM.

The show centres on a man and woman, now in their forties, who meet again having fallen in love when they met at college. The storyline alternates between the characters’ college days and the present day, focusing on how lost love is not easy to revive.

When My Love Blooms will air on Viva Plus in October. The channel is owned and operated by Israeli distributor Dori Media and Sony Pictures Television.

Ryan Kim, sales manager at CJ ENM, said: “When My Love Blooms is a story that can fit in well in any culture, with no violence but a realistic story about hopeless love.

“We are hoping that through this deal we can continue our relationship with Dori Media and expand the scope of Korean dramas in Israel and adjacent countries.”
