Viceland extends Belgian reach

Youth-skewing multimedia outfit Vice Media has agreed a distribution deal in Belgium for its flagship lifestyle and entertainment TV channel Viceland.

The channel, which launched in the country on Telenet in March, will become available from June on telecoms firm Proximus’s pay TV service.

Programming will be subtitled and dubbed into French for the Wallonia region of the country, with shows such as Needles & Pins (with Grace Neutral), Noisey (with Zach Gouldbaum) and the second season of Gaycation available.

Proximus, which launched a TV and OTT content-sharing service in 2015, will also offer Viceland shows via its TV Everywhere service.
