Vice’s Shane Smith delivers the 2016 EITF MacTaggart

Youth-skewing network Viceland has added a show from rapper Tyler the Creator, a new docuseries and a late-night talkshow to its fledgling schedule.

The series with Tyler the Creator will be produced by Whalerock Industries, the company behind the rapper’s Golf Media app, on which the show is based.

Viceland will also air Jungletown, a docuseries from filmmaker Ondi Timoner of Interloper Films about a group committed to creating “the world’s greatest sustainable modern town” in Panama.

The network, which launched in the US and Canada earlier this year, is set to enter the late-night talkshow space in October with Desus & Mero.

The series will see two friends born and raised in the Bronx discuss the day’s events, culture and day-to-day life.

In addition to new shows, Viceland has ordered second seasons of two of its inaugural programs, Huang’s World, with chef, restaurateur and writer Eddie Huang, and States of Undress, with writer and model Hailey Gates.

In related news, Vice Media, the company behind Viceland, has confirmed the channel will launch in the UK and Ireland with Sky and Now TV on September 19.

The developments come a week after Vice founder and CEO Shane Smith made waves in the UK television industry with a hard-hitting MacTaggart Memorial Lecture at the Edinburgh International Television Festival.
