Viasat, RTL open A+E’s Project Blue Book

MIPCOM: A number of new broadcasters have picked up season two of A+E Networks’ UFO drama Project Blue Book, bringing the total number of networks airing the series worldwide to 165.

Viasat World, covering Central and Eastern Europe, and RTL in Germany are among the latest networks to have picked up the 10-part S2 of the show.

Other broadcasters to have acquired the series include Sci Fi Channel Europe (UK), Corus (Canada), SBS (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), U-Next (Japan), History (Korea, Latin America, Japan and Southeast Asia), History TV18 (India), OTE (Greece), Manoto (Farsi-speaking diaspora), Mesimvria (Cyprus) and Showmax (Africa).

TNT (Spain), Warner TV via EuroTV (France), D’Live (South Korea), Vietnam Satellite Digital Television Company (Vietnam) and CIS Yandex (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan) also carry the show.

From executive producer Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future) and A+E Studios, Project Blue Book is based on the real-life top secret investigations into unidentified flying objects and related phenomena conducted by the United States Air Force in the 1950s and 60s.

Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) and Michael Malarkey (The Vampire Diaries) star.
