Viasat, More.TV take Fremantle dramas

Chilean psychological thriller La Jauria

Two buyers in Russia have agreed multi-year output deals with Fremantle for the producer and distributor’s primetime dramas.

The deal will see Viasat and SVoD service More.TV acquire a selection of Fremantle’s new premium and library programming in 2020 and over the coming years, plus library volume commitments each year.

Viasat Channels and Viasat’s ViP Play online cinema have taken The Young Pope, Dublin Murders and Deutschland 83 and Deutschland 86, alongside Chilean psychological thriller La Jauria, historical drama The Windermere Children and The Sister, adapted from Neil Cross’s thriller novel Burial.

More.tv, meanwhile, has taken Picnic At Hanging Rock and Hard Sun, as well as Dublin Murders, Deutschland 83 and Deutschland 86.

It will also have the exclusive first run of series including We Are Who We Are, The Investigation, No Man’s Land and Deutschland 89, the final season of the award-winning spy series.
