Love Me (Älska Mig) is being coproduced by Warner Bros International TV Production Sweden and Film Capital Stockholm, with Sofie Palage producing.

The show is being filmed in Stockholm and explores friendship, grief and romance across three generations. Bornebusch has written the show and will direct and star in the series.

Love Me will be made available in autumn next year and joins other shows from the Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group-backed streamer, including Four Hands Menu, Pros & Cons and Conspiracy of Silence.

Jakob Mejlhede Andersen, NENT Group exec VP and head of content, said the show “has the pacing, production values and psychological depth associated with the very best Nordic drama productions, but this time with more laughs.”

Viaplay has already had success with originals such as Veni Vidi Vici, which premiered on Hulu in the US, and Swedish Dicks, which was sold to the country’s cablenet Pop TV.
