VOOT Kids features a collection of over 20,000 videos, e-books, stories and quizzes and is priced at 799 Indian Rupees (US$11.10) for a year and 99 Indian Rupees per month after free trials.

Among the children’s companies Viacom18 has worked with on content partnerships for the ad-free app are Nickelodeon, Oxford University Press, WarnerMedia, Green Gold, CBeebies, TV Asahi, Sony Music, Hasbro, Mattel and Lego.

It aims to offer kids one place to “watch, read, listen and learn” and was announced earlier this year.

“Viacom18 has grown over the years by focusing on white spaces that are challenging and yet have tremendous potential,” said Sudhanshu Vats, group CEO and MD, Viacom18.

“As a network, we have been the undisputed leader in kids’ entertainment content for the past five years. Our digital play VOOT is the second largest video-on-demand platform in the country today,” added Vats.
