US Hispanic broadcaster Fuse Media has appointed a Viacom veteran of more than two decades to oversee its content plans.

Marc Leonard becomes senior VP of content strategy, reporting to Fuse chief operating officer Mike Roggero and based in the company’s New York offices.

Leonard will be responsible for managing the company’s linear programming and multiplatform scheduling strategies for content across its cabsat television channels, websites and new mobile app, as well as on-demand and third-party SVoD.

His remit also includes directing Fuse’s original programming and acquisition efforts, including identifying content for the Fuse and FM linear networks.

Leonard joins after 22 years with Viacom Media Networks, where he was most recently senior VP of platform strategy for Logo and oversaw programming strategy, content management and acquisitions.

Fuse CEO Michael Schwimmer said Leonard was “a highly strategic executive and we look forward to leveraging his expertise as we continue to identify compelling content opportunities for our target audience across all platforms.”
