Venezuela’s RCTV unveils VoD offer

Venezuelan broadcaster RCTV has launched its own streaming platform with more than 5,000 hours of Spanish-language content.

The VoD service will offer a catalogue of entertainment and variety shows such as comedy series Radio Pochela, plus classic telenovelas including Juana La Virgen, Cristal, Mi Gorda Bella, Pura Sangre and La Dama de Rosa.

It will target a national audience as well as the five million-strong Venezuelan diaspora spread across the globe and will also feature new original content and exclusive digital premieres of new series.

Marcel Granier, CEO and president of RCTV, said: “We are determined that the content we have created for more than six decades has extraordinary value, which is why we have decided to bring it back digitally accompanied by new original content. Together with our partners at Streann Media, we are now able to provide our Hispanic users a unique content experience.”

RCTV is available worldwide via App Store, Apple TV, Play Store, Roku and Fire TV.
