Vanity Fair sent around world by ITVSGE

ITV and Amazon coproduction Vanity Fair

MIPCOM: African pay TV outfit MNet and NPO in the Netherlands are among the broadcasters to have picked up dramas including Vanity Fair from ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVSGE).

As well as MNet and NPO, the seven-part adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray’s classic has been picked up by BBC First in Asia and Australia, international SVoD service BBC Player, and ITV Choice, the UK broadcaster’s network for Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Other buyers of the Mammoth Screen and Amazon Studios drama include French-Canadian pubcaster SRC, which has taken both linear and SVoD rights; VRT in Belgium; LaF via Sky Italy; Movistar+ in Spain; RUV in Iceland; NRK in Norway; ETV in Estonia; Latvian Television; Russia’s Channel 1; and HBO for Central and Eastern Europe.

Meanwhile, contemporary drama Cleaning Up (6×60’), produced by Sister Pictures and starring Sheridan Smith, has sold to Canal+ in Poland, RUV in Iceland, Virgin Media Television in Ireland, Sky in New Zealand, Seven Network in Australia, and BBC First and BBC Player in Asia.

ITVSGE has also secured deals for period drama Harlots (8×60’). The show has been picked up by broadcasters in Asia and the Pacific Rim including SonyLIV in India; KT Corp in South Korea; Astro Malaysia; SBS On Demand and SBS Viceland in Australia; and Lightbox in New Zealand.

Sci-fi miniseries The City & The City has gone to ABC in Australia, Sky New Zealand and ITV Choice in Asia. Seven in Australia also picked up Jewellery heist drama Hatton Garden, as have Sky New Zealand, BBC First, BBC Player and ITV Choice in New Zealand. Family drama Age Before Beauty has been picked up by Astro Malaysia, BBC First in Australia and Lightbox in New Zealand.

Foreign-language dramas on ITVSGE’s slate include Scandi thriller Greyzone, which has been picked up by Channel W in Malaysia; SBS and SBS On Demand in Australia and TVNZ OnDemand in New Zealand. In France, thematic channel RMC Story has taken secondary rights to Tetra Media Studio’s Un Village Francais, which aired on pubcaster France 3 for seven seasons.

RMC Story has also picked up historical drama Poldark, as has Chinese VoD platform Bilibili, while ITVSGE period drama Victoria will premiere in India on Sony India.
