US deal for French toons

French animation studio Alphanim has sold three series to a pay-TV channel in the US, and secured deals for other shows around the world.

Starz has taken eco-travel show The Green Squad (52×13’), the second season of adventure comedy Gawayn (52×13’) and comic book-based series Toto Trouble (52×13’).

The paynet already airs several series from Gaumont-owned Alphanim including Santa’s Apprentice, Hairy Scary and Zombie Hotel.

The Green Squad was previously picked up by Discovery Kids in Asia among other broadcasters, and Alphanim recently returned to the Far East to secure a deal with Disney Channel in South Korea for Mouss & Boubidi (52×1’).

In addition the second season of Gawayn has also sold to ABC in Australia while all three seasons of Galactik Football (78×26’) have sold to Megamax to air in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
