UPC adds Epic Drama in CEE

Epic Drama offers series including The Collection

Liberty Global-owned cable company UPC has added European pay TV operator Viasat World’s Epic Drama channel to its platforms in Poland, Romania and Hungary.

In Poland, Epic Drama will join fellow Viasat channels Polsat Viasat History, Polsat Viasat Explore and Polsat Viasat Nature in the Max (EBT) package.

In Hungary, it will be added to the Digital Gold package, with Viasat History/Nature HD and Viasat Explore also in the line-up.

Subscribers to the DVBC offering in Romania will also receive Epic Drama, in addition to Viasat History, Viasat Explore, Viasat Nature and TV1000.

The move will see drama series such as Line of Separation, The Tudors and The Collection made available to UPC customers.

Epic Drama launched in CEE in December and more than 60 international operators now carry it on their platforms. An Epic Drama SVoD offering will be available in all three markets soon.
