Universal Kids, C5 renew Floogals

NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment-owned Universal Kids and Viacom’s Channel 5 (C5) In the UK have commissioned a third season of animated series Floogals.

The new season will be coproduced by Universal Kids with UK indie Nevision and will return to C5’s morning kids’ block Milkshake! later this month.

Floogals is based on an original idea from Dan Good that was developed by Zodiak Kids Studios UK in conjunction with UK special effects studio Jellyfish Pictures and Nevision. The second and third seasons have been produced by Nevision Studios One, a subsidiary of Nevision.

Produced using a mixture of photo-realistic CGI and live action, Floogals follows pocket-sized aliens and their adventures around Earth.

ABC in Australia and WeKids in China recently pre-bought the second season of the show.
