UKTV takes Flack for W

Multi-channel broadcaster UKTV has ordered its first original drama series for premium entertainment channel W, starring True Blood and X-Men actress Anna Paquin.

Flack (6×60’) is co-commissioned with US network Pop and coproduced by Hat Trick Productions and Paquin’s prodco CASM Films.

The series is produced by Mark Talbot, executive produced by Jimmy Mulville and Helen Williams of Hat Trick Productions and created by Oliver Lansley, who will also executive produce. The director is Peter Cattaneo.

Flack was commissioned by Richard Watsham, UKTV’s director of commissioning, Steve North, genre manager for entertainment and comedy and Pete Thornton, UKTV senior commissioning editor who will also oversee as executive producer.

Flack centres on an American PR executive living in London and will go into production this spring before airing in 2019.

Paquin is also attached to executive produce for CASM alongside Stephen Moyer, Cerise Hallam Larkin and Mark Larkin, with Justin Rosenblatt for Pop.
