UKTV flips cars for Dave

Car fixer-upper series Lazy Boy Garage airs on Dave from February

Multi-channel broadcaster UKTV has greenlit a new original motoring series for its channel Dave.

Lazy Boy Garage is being produced by October Films and follows three best friends who buy and sell cars for profits at Roadhouse Motor Co in Lincolnshire.

The 10×30’ series features motoring journalist Jonny Smith, Top Gear Magazine editor Tom ‘Wookie’ Ford and garage owner Tim Glover as they track down classic car wrecks across the world to do up and sell for fortunes to international buyers.

The team rely on social media and a network of international fixers to aid them in their hunt for valuable vehicles.

UKTV director of commissioning Richard Watsham and UKTV genre general manager Steve North ordered the show which was commissioned by UKTV’s commissioning editor Joe McVey.

The show will premiere on Dave in February.
