UKTV draws on Favourite Sketch

Multi-channel broadcaster UKTV has commissioned an original series for its Gold network that sees comedians talk about their favourite comedy sketches.

Sally Phillips fronts My Favourite Sketch

My Favourite Sketch (6×60’) is being produced by Potato, part of ITV Studios, from an original idea by Mor or Les Productions. It marks Potato’s first commission for UKTV.

The show was commissioned by Iain Coyle, senior commissioning editor, and ordered for Gold by Richard Watsham, director of commissioning, and Steve North, genre general manager for comedy and entertainment.

Each episode sees a comedy star discuss iconic sketches from the past 70 years. The full guest line-up for the first season is Jessica Hynes, Jason Manford, Bob Mortimer, Sue Perkins, Johnny Vegas and Paul Whitehouse.

The show will be hosted by comic actor Sally Phillips and airs on Gold later this year.
