UKTV, Discovery meet Property Brothers

The Property Brothers

MIPCOM: UK distributor Cineflix Rights has sold shows from the Property Brothers franchise to broadcasters including UKTV and Discovery.

Discovery in Sweden has bought season six of the original Property Brothers (26×60’), produced by Cineflix Productions, the production arm of umbrella company Cineflix Media. Season one of the show (13×60’) has been picked up by Digicast in Italy.

UKTV has taken Property Brothers at Home (4×60’), produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment, while fellow UK broadcaster ITVBe has picked up season five of Property Brothers: Buying & Selling (17×60’), from Cineflix Productions.

Additionally, US-based AMC Networks has acquired seasons three and four of Property Brothers: Buying & Selling (39×60’) for its Spektrum Home channel in Hungary, Slovakia, and Czech Republic. In Poland, NC+ has also bought the same seasons for its Domo+ channel, while Zoom TV has taken seasons one to four of Brother vs Brother.

Identical twins Jonathan and Drew Scott’s original Property Brothers show debuted on Canada’s W Network in 2011.

Meanwhile, Sport1 in Germany and WP Poland have bought the first two seasons of fellow Cineflix Rights property series Buy It, Fix It, Sell It (20×30’), which was produced by Frantic Films.

Cineflix has also sold Flipping Virgins (12×60’), another property series, to AMC for Spektrum Home, with the show also selling to Discovery Latin America.
