UKTV climbs back Inside the Ambulance

The new episodes of Inside the Ambulance will air later this year

UKTV has commissioned two more seasons of its original series Inside the Ambulance for its entertainment channel, W.

The first three seasons of Inside the Ambulance reached 8.55 million viewers last year including repeats on UKTV’s Really channel. The programme, which is made by Brown Bob Productions, was W’s highest rating commission in 2017.

Seasons four and five (both 10×60’) will air later this year followed by a special season, Inside the Ambulance at Christmas (10×60’), in December.

The new order was made by UKTV’s deputy director of commissioning Hilary Rosen and genre general manager for entertainment and comedy Steve North. Natalie Rose will executive produce for UKTV alongside Bridget Sneyd for Brown Bob Productions. Daisy Scalchi will serve as series producer.

The UKTV Original series looks at what it is like to respond to emergency calls via the perspective of GoPro cameras mounted on ambulance crew members.
