UK sales house takes Brazil toon

A UK-based sales house has picked up the Brazilian animated series Earth to Luna!, recently sold to preschool broadcaster Sprout in the US, for international distribution.

Union Media will handle distribution outside the Americas for the 52×12′ series, which is produced by Brazil’s TV PinGuim (Fishtronaut).

Targeting kids aged 3-6, the toon follows a six-year-old girl who is passionate about science.

Other broadcasters to have acquired the series include Discovery Kids Latin America and TV Brasil, while TV Pinguim has been developing interactive apps for the series with its sister company, iPicnic.

Union Media was founded in 2012 by Adam Selly, the former Hit Entertainment and LazyTown Entertainment exec, and also represents animated series Circle Square, Toby’s Travelling Circus and Toggle, among others.
