Three production companies in the Twofour Group – Boomerang, Twofour Wales and Indus – are merging under the Boomerang brand.

The new entity will be led by MD Matt Pritchard, who previously oversaw unscripted development across the ITV-owned Twofour Group as group director of development.

Sam Grace, previously executive producer at Cardiff-based Twofour Wales, has been appointed director of programmes.

The management team also includes Shona Baldwin as director of development, Wil Edwards as head of production and Sharon Bennett as executive producer.

The company will focus on producing factual entertainment, documentary and sports entertainment from its Cardiff base.

Boomerang’s slate includes Posh Pawn for Channel 4 while Twofour Wales’ output includes Kitchen Impossible with Michel Roux Jr for Channel 4. Indus is known for series including Kate Humble: Living with Nomads for BBC2 and World’s Most Expensive Food for Channel 4.

The Twofour Group, which was bought by ITV in June last year, also includes Welsh prodco Boom Cymru, comedy label Delightful Industries, drama producer Mainstreet Pictures and factual specialists Oxford Scientific Films and Twofour.

Andrew MacKenzie, Twofour’s chief creative officer, said: “We believe that by creating one strong label in Cardiff we can supercharge the production community in Wales and build an outstanding company.”
