Two Cromosoma toons catch Nick's eye

Barcelona-based producer-distributor Cromosoma has scored a number of international sales to Nickelodeon, among others, for its new animation series Juanito Jones and Miniman.

Juanito Jones has been acquired by Nickelodeon Latin America, Noga (Israel), TF1 (Italia), Televisa (Mexico) and Univision in the US. Disney Channel previous took the show for France, Italy and Spain. {We are in advanced negotiations with RAI for Italy,{ added Cromosoma's Mireia Gusi.

Juanito Jones (26×26′) follows the adventures of a little boy Juanito, who faces all sorts of tricky situations, all of which are conjured up by his over-active imagination. The series is co-produced by Cromosoma, Megatrix and Germany's RTV Family Entertainment. It will be ready for broadcast in spring 2002.

Cromosoma's fully-owned toon Miniman (26×13') has also been picked up by Nickelodeon for its networks in Sweden, Norway and Finland, as well as a licence going to Discovery for the UK. The show will be available next month.
