TVPlayer launches pay service

NEWS BRIEF: UK live-streaming OTT platform TVPlayer is launching a subscription service that includes channels from UKTV, Discovery and A+E Networks UK.

TVPlayer Plus launches this summer and will enable live streaming of more than 25 TV channels for £4.99 (US$7.79) a month. The current TVPlayer service, which offers more than 55 free-to-air channels and has more than 500,000 regular users, will remain free of charge.
