tvN to get Cash Back

Cash Back was developed by CJ ENM and Bunim/Murray

tvN Asia has commissioned a series based on Cash Back, a format its parent company CJ ENM co-developed with US producer Bunim/Murray.

The pan-regional network has ordered six episodes of the gameshow format, which sees top-tier athletes navigate crazy obstacles to bank as much money as possible.

The commission comes after tvN piloted the show with two episodes, which the network said successfully created a buzz online.

Bunim/Murray Productions CEO and chairman Gil Goldschein said: “Cash Back is the ultimate gameshow – entertaining, visually comedic and, above all, physically challenging.”

CJ ENM holds international distribution rights to the show in Asia, while Banijay Rights, the distribution arm of Bunim/Murray-owned Banijay Group, controls rights in the rest of the world.
