TVN renews Big Brother after comeback

The reboot of Big Brother aired on TVN in March

Polish commercial channel TVN has ordered another run of Big Brother from Endemol Shine Group after the success of its recent comeback series.

The reality show returned to TVN, it’s original Polish broadcaster, in March and its June finale was watched by 1.15 million people. The new season will air in September.

Big Brother Poland was the first edition of the format to be filmed in an existing house rather than a purpose-built one.

Big Brother is returning to German screens on Sat.1 in 2020, with a celebrity version airing next month.

Finland has also commissioned a comeback series set to air in September in an eco-friendly environment and with a set that will incorporate recycled materials.

The Big Brother format is approaching the 20th anniversary of its debut on Dutch television and it continues to enjoy global success, with 26 productions airing in 14 territories in 2018.
