TVF adds 200 hours of factual

UK-based distributor TVF International has added 200 hours of specialist factual and factual entertainment titles to its slate ahead of this week’s Mipcom.

Science titles include: Innovation Nation (26×30’), produced by Litton Entertainment for CBS in the US, which profiles inventions both historic and modern; and The Cholesterol Question (1×60), from Markham Street Films for Canadian pubcaster CBC, which uncovers the true impact of cholesterol on our health.

TVF is also representing Arte/ZDF commissioned Breasts: Uncovered (1×52’), a look at the evolution of the female breast.

The sales house is also bringing a number of docs to market from UK commercial broadcaster ITV. They include Johnny Kingdom’s Wild Countryside (4×30’) and five arts programmes from the Perspectives series from Blakeway Productions.

The history slate includes Discovery’s Churchill’s Secret Son (1×57’/1×89’), the true story of Brendan Bracken, the inspiration for Big Brother in George Orwell’s iconic book 1984. BBC’s Queen Victoria in Her Own Words (2×60’) is also included.

The BBC’s The Secret Life of Your Clothes (1×60’), a revealing glimpse at where cheaply made cast-off western clothes go and their impact on the local economy, is available alongside Morgan Spurlock’s A Brony Tale (1×60’/1×87’), which looks at the modern phenomenon for predominantly middle-aged males to become fans of the children’s animated show My Little Pony.
