TV Globo attends Landmarks Live in Concert

Artists such as The Black Eyed Peas feature in Landmarks Live in Concert

TV Globo in Brazil has acquired the first season of music-focused series Landmarks Live in Concert from UK-based independent distributor Scorpion TV.

Produced by City Drive Group, the 7×60′ series is hosted by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and features artists such as Foo Fighters, Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli and Kings of Leon performing at famous landmarks around the world.

Smith, meanwhile, delivers a mix of musical knowledge, personal stories and insights into the history, art and culture of the locations.

Elsewhere, i-Cable in Hong Kong and True Visions in Thailand have acquired Scorpion’s Destination Craft (13×30′). Produced by Canada’s Namaste Productions, it features master artisans from around the world, such as Icelandic horsehair jewellery-makers and Indian henna artists.

“In today’s divisive climate, there’s never been a greater need for programming that celebrates our common humanity, be it musical, artistic, cultural or just the fact that we all share this amazing, surprising planet,” said David Cornwall, founder and MD of Scorpion TV.
