This week on C21FM we heard from BBC Studios drama chiefs Martin Rakusen and Caroline Stone about their latest shows completed amid the pandemic, as the company’s annual Showcase gets underway, and from Keshet Studios president Peter Traugott about working with Universal Television and how the US studios’ move to direct-to-consumer is changing the business.

We also heard from Chloe Rickard, partner, chief operating officer and executive producer at Jungle Entertainment in Australia, and Heath Kenny, chief content officer at Mercury Filmworks in Canada, about how they are both ploughing ahead with busy production slates and creating original IP that travels the world.

The C21FM Weekly Review Show also includes a chat with BBC Studios’ global senior VP of format sales Andre Renaud and Vice Studios’ head of distribution Bea Hegedus about how the unscripted business has navigated the pandemic and the shows they have coming up in 2021.

Rounding out the week’s interviews are Sarah Edwards, senior VP of international creative development at Sony Pictures Television, who talks about the company’s virtual formats showcase, and Nick Curwin, co-founder of UK indies Firefly and The Garden, who discusses his investment and advisory vehicle Matisse.

All of this, together with a mix of music to keep you sane. Thanks for listening.
