This week on C21FM we heard from Rikke Ennis and Helene Aurø from Copenhagen-based Reinvent Studios about the company’s multi-million-euro investment in Nordic content and the first drama shot in the Faroe Islands, while Filmpixs co-founders Henrik Friis and Benn Wiebe discuss their new short film-focused SVoD service.

We also heard from Jane Tranter, co-founder of Bad Wolf, the transatlantic prodco behind award-winning series including His Dark Materials and A Discovery of Witches, about how the seismic events of 2020 affected her own firm and the media and entertainment business as a whole, and how she sees the sector shaping up in 2021.

The C21FM Weekly Review Show also includes a chat with Gavin Hay of Content Kings about his new UK indie and how it aims to shake up unscripted, and with Emmanuèle Pétry-Sirvin of French animation house Dandelooo about the dynamics of dealing with local versus global streaming services.

Rounding out the week’s interviews are Tom Manwaring, partner at UK media and acquisitions specialist Helion Partners, about his latest transactions and investor confidence in the TV business, and Bailey Mackey, CEO of New Zealand-based Pango Productions, who reveals the challenges the industry there faces convincing US streamers to commission local shows.
