After establishing Red Production Company as one of the foremost drama producers in the UK with series including Happy Valley and Years & Years, Nicola Shindler announced her departure from the Studiocanal-backed business last year.

Now set up at ITV Studios with her new label, Manchester-based Quay Street Productions, she spoke with Michael Pickard about her ambitions for a wide-ranging and diverse slate and her plans to work with new talent while also building on relationships with key writers like Russell T Davies and Harlan Coben.

Shindler also talked about two of her latest projects, ITV’s Finding Alice and Davies’ new Channel 4 drama It’s A Sin.

Raphael Corrêa Netto is head of international business at Globo, Brazil’s leading broadcaster.

The company has been busy transitioning its business from linear to streaming in recent years to stay competitive with overseas players like Netflix entering its territory, but also to connect with Brazilians in the US and elsewhere.

He spoke to Oli Hammett about this strategy and how the company remains committed to licensing high-quality drama to partners around the world, as well as exploring deeper relations with international streamers in 2021 as a means of further expanding its reach.
