Riviera became a hit for Sky Atlantic when it debuted in 2017, with viewers seduced by the opulent thriller about an art curator, played by Julia Stiles, who falls into a world of double-dealing and crime following the death of her husband – all set against the glamorous backdrop of the French Côte d’Azur.

Executive producer Kris Thykier, founder of Archery Pictures, spoke with Michael Pickard ahead of the third season’s recent debut about making the show in three different countries and why multi-territory shoots may well be on hold for the coming 12 months, given the ongoing pandemic.

ViacomCBS took full ownership of Israeli producer and pay TV network Ananey Communications in April this year. The latter’s CEO, Orly Atlas Katz, speaks with Gün Akyuz about how the deal has transformed the business, opening up greater international opportunities and contributed to a faster return to production after lockdown.

She also talks about how the lessons learned during this process are being used and how the firm is increasingly seeking to work with overseas players.
