NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises executive VP of revenue strategy and innovation Peter Blacker has spent years advocating digital media but it has taken a pandemic to persuade non-believers of its powers. He tells Inigo Alexander how the US Hispanic multi-platform outlet is adapting to the situation, the specific challenges facing its audience and the contribution it’s making to new streamer Peacock.

Vanessa Shapiro was president of worldwide TV distribution and coproduction at the US arm of France’s Gaumont until she struck out on her own to set up LA-based Nicely Entertainment, a scripted producer-distributor specialising in TV movies, earlier this year. She speaks with Karolina Kaminska about launching a new business during a pandemic and where she sees the market heading.

WarnerMedia-owned German pay TV channel TNT Comedy recently commissioned an original shortform series to raise funds for artists affected by the coronavirus pandemic, with the self-shot five-parter also airing across sister networks TNT Serie and TNT Film. VP of original productions Anke Greifeneder tells Clive Whittigham about Ausgebremst and how shooting on others shows is slowly resuming in Germany as restrictions are lifted.
