Turner Entertainment Networks president Steve Koonin announced the departure to staff in a memo yesterday. Koonin said an evaluation of TruTV’s leadership would now take place to aid the appointment of a new executive to lead the network.

Juris oversaw the channel’s rebrand from Court TV in 2008 and was promoted from executive VP and general manager to his most recent position in 2011.

He was involved in the commissioning of several hit series for the reality-focused network, including Hardcore Pawn and Lizard Lick Towing, but ratings had slipped slightly of late.

The news follows the channel’s upfront in April, where three original series and seven pilots were unveiled.
