TrueRoyalty.tv enthrones first commission

TrueRoyalty.tv, the fledgling royalty-themed on-demand service, has made its first commission with a special focusing on Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan & Harry: The First 100 Days (working title, 1×60′) will chart the first three months of the royal couple’s married life and will be available exclusively to the service’s subscribers in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

TrueRoyalty.tv was launched in June by Nick Bullen, founder of UK indie and royalty specialist Spun Gold TV, media entrepreneur Gregor Angus and brand strategist Edward Mason.

The doc will be produced by Spun Gold TV and UK-based distributor Drive will handle worldwide pre-sales and distribution.

“As well as commissioning more exclusive original programming, our growth strategy for TrueRoyalty.tv includes expanding our library of premium royal content around the world, extending our distribution footprint, launching in new markets and leveraging commercial partnerships with major brands,” said Angus.

“There is huge global interest in Harry and Meghan, and this programme will celebrate their first three months as a married couple while also delivering exclusive insights into their new lives from royal insiders, historians, cultural and show business icons and other royal-watchers,” added Bullen.
