Tresor, Fabiola adopt Pooch Perfect

Tresor Productions in Germany and Fabiola in the Benelux territories have acquired format rights to Australian dog grooming competition format Pooch Perfect.

The original 8×60 series, commissioned by Seven Network in Australia, has also been licensed to TV2 in Denmark, YLE in Finland, SIC in Portugal, Blue Ant Media in Canada and Quebecor in French-speaking Canada.

Both the Australian original, hosted by actor Rebel Wilson, and the format are distributed by London-based sales house Beyond Rights.

The UK version of Pooch Perfect is set to premiere this Thursday on BBC1, hosted by actor Sheridan Smith. Professional dog groomers will compete each week to give people’s beloved pets a makeover.

One groomer will be named the country’s Top Dog Groomer by judges Colin Taylor and Verity Hardcastle.
