Treays joins Spun Gold

London-based indie Spun Gold has hired documentary expert Jane Treays, producer and director of BBC2’s Inside Claridge’s, to join its programming team.

Treays has been producing and directing documentaries for more than 25 years and her work includes Extraordinary Families, Mum, Heroin and Me, The Man with the Seven Second Memory and Tom Daley: The Diver and His Dad.

Her arrival follows two hires at Spun Gold in February, when Tim Hammond joined from GroupM as commercial director and Daniela Neumann became the company’s first creative director.

Nick Bullen, MD of Spun Gold, said: “Not only does she make highly engaging, enlightening work built on great access, but her sympathetic, non-judgmental style combines with extremely high production values to make outstanding programmes.”

Treays’ first Spun Gold project will be a programme for the BBC to be announced at a later date.
